Terms & Conditions

By booking or using any vehicle from Self Drive Car in Ahmedabad ("Company," "we," "us"), you ("Renter," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

To rent a self-drive car from us, you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be at least 21 years of age
• You must possess a valid Indian Driving License (minimum 1 year old)
• You must provide original ID proof (Aadhar Card) at the time of pickup
• You must provide one additional ID proof (PAN Card / Passport / Voter ID)
• International renters must have a valid International Driving Permit (IDP)

A booking is confirmed only after:

1. Receipt of required documents
2. Verification of driving license
3. Payment of advance/security deposit
4. Written or digital confirmation from our team

The rental period begins and ends as specified in your booking confirmation.

• Minimum rental: As per the selected plan (hourly/daily/weekly/monthly)
• Grace period: 30 minutes after the scheduled return time
• Late return: Charges apply on an hourly basis after the grace period
• Extensions: Must be requested at least 4 hours before the scheduled return time
• Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and additional charges

Our rental charges include:

• Base rental fee for the selected duration
• Free kilometer allowance as specified per vehicle
• Basic insurance coverage

Not included in the rental price:

• Fuel costs (renter's responsibility)
• Toll charges and parking fees
• Traffic fines and challans
• Extra kilometer charges beyond the free limit
• Doorstep delivery/pickup charges (if applicable)

Accepted payment methods: Cash, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card.

A refundable security deposit is required at the time of vehicle pickup.

• Deposit amount varies based on the vehicle category
• Deposit is fully refundable upon safe return of the vehicle
• Deposit refund is processed within 24-48 hours after vehicle inspection
• Deductions may be made for damages, excessive dirt, missing fuel, traffic fines, or toll charges

The renter agrees to the following vehicle usage conditions:

• Only the registered renter (whose DL is on file) may drive the vehicle
• Additional drivers must be pre-approved and their DL must be submitted
• The vehicle must be driven on proper roads only — no off-roading
• The vehicle must not be driven under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance
• The renter must follow all traffic rules and regulations
• The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities
• The vehicle must not exceed the speed limit specified for the vehicle
• The renter is responsible for the safekeeping of the vehicle and its accessories

Our fuel policy is simple:

• The vehicle is provided with a specific fuel level at pickup
• The vehicle must be returned at the same fuel level
• If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, fuel charges + service fee will be deducted from the deposit
• The renter may refuel at any authorized fuel station

All our vehicles come with comprehensive insurance coverage. However:

• Insurance covers third-party liability and own damage as per the policy terms
• The renter is liable for any deductible/excess amount as specified in the insurance policy
• Insurance does not cover damage caused by negligence, drunk driving, or violation of these terms
• Personal belongings left in the vehicle are not covered under our insurance
• The company is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the rented vehicle

In case of any damage or accident:

1. Stop the vehicle and ensure safety of all occupants
2. Call the police and file an FIR (if applicable)
3. Contact us immediately at +91 81282 70110
4. Do not move the vehicle until instructed by us or authorities
5. Take photos of the damage and the accident scene
6. Do not admit fault or make any agreements with other parties

The renter is fully responsible for all traffic violations during the rental period:

• All traffic fines, challans, and penalties are the renter's responsibility
• If a challan is received after the rental period, the amount will be deducted from the deposit or billed to the renter
• The renter must follow all traffic rules, including speed limits, signal compliance, and seatbelt usage
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the rental

We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• More than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund
• 12 to 24 hours before pickup: 50% of the rental amount charged
• Less than 12 hours before pickup: No refund
• No-show: Full rental amount charged

Refund processing:

• Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
• Refunds are made to the original payment method
• Cash payments are refunded via bank transfer or UPI

The following activities are strictly prohibited during the rental period:

• 🚭 Smoking inside the vehicle (cleaning fee applies)
• 🐾 Transporting pets without prior approval
• 🏎️ Racing, rallying, or reckless driving
• 🔧 Modifying or tampering with the vehicle
• 👥 Sub-letting or lending the vehicle to others
• 📦 Using the vehicle for commercial purposes (delivery, taxi, etc.)
• 🗺️ Crossing international borders without written permission
• ⛰️ Off-road driving or driving on unpaved surfaces
• 🚛 Towing or pushing other vehicles
• ⚖️ Overloading beyond the vehicle's capacity

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• The company is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle
• The company is not liable for delays in service due to weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control
• Our total liability shall not exceed the total rental amount paid by the renter

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
